Pennsylvania recorded $595 million in total gaming revenue during April 2026, marking a 6.5% year-on-year increase as online casino gaming and sports betting continued to fuel growth across the state\u2019s regulated gambling market.<\/p>\n

According to figures released by the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board, the state generated approximately $255.3 million in tax revenue from gaming activity during the month.<\/p>\n

The strongest performer among Pennsylvania\u2019s land-based casinos was Hollywood Casino at Penn National Race Course, which produced $109 million in revenue, up 11.6% compared to April 2025. Valley Forge Casino Resort followed with roughly $105.8 million in revenue, while Rivers Casino Philadelphia generated $60 million.<\/p>\n

The latest results further reinforce Pennsylvania\u2019s position as one of the largest regulated gaming markets in the United States, supported by a combination of retail casinos, digital gaming platforms, and online sports betting operations.<\/p>\n

Online Casino Gaming Continues to Drive Revenue<\/h2>\n

Internet gaming remained the biggest contributor to growth during April, generating $245.8 million in gross revenue for the month. The figure represented a 7.9% increase from the $227.7 million reported during the same period last year.<\/p>\n

The online gaming segment includes digital slots, table games, and poker offered through licensed operators across the state. Online slots accounted for the majority of iGaming revenue, producing approximately $195.2 million during April alone.<\/p>\n

The continued expansion of Pennsylvania\u2019s online casino market mirrors broader national trends, with regulated states increasingly relying on digital gambling as a major source of gaming revenue. Sports betting handle reached $641.6 million during April, down 9.8% from the $711.6 million wagered during the same month last year. However, taxable sports betting revenue rose to $59 million, representing a 38.6% increase from April 2025.<\/p>\n

The jump suggests sportsbooks benefited from stronger hold percentages despite lower overall wagering volume.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, retail table games produced mixed results. Revenue totaled $78.7 million during April, slightly below the $80.6 million reported a year earlier. Table games revenue includes blackjack, baccarat, roulette, and poker offered at casino properties throughout the state.<\/p>\n

Pennsylvania\u2019s gaming industry also received a small boost from the launch of Happy Valley Casino, which opened operations on April 24 and contributed initial revenue during the final week of the month.<\/p>\n
